Professor on the train

I met a history of science professor (knowing how small my department was, this was tremendously shocking and absolutely wonderful) on the train from Delft to Warsaw.  We spoke about my research and he suggested a number of things:

1. I was contaminating the sample by participating in it.  Not much I can (or want to) do about that though.  
   
2. We also discussed what a time-lapse of a North American vs. European Zouk event from a drone would look like. Probably a light show vs. a lava lamp. Chit chat vs. conversations.  
   
3. Europeans don't do small talk, why would you talk during a dance?
4. Take the slower train from Warsaw to Katowice and talk to the locals.
5. Eat these Polish foods: Barcht (they made it), Flaky (intestines and parmesan soup), Zapikanko (Polish pizza bagel), Pierogis (various fillings, strawberry season now), better beer than the Germans, better wine than the French.
   
6. Look out for Jesus.
